SACRED HEART SCHOOL
Nau mai haere mai. Talofa lava, Malo e lei lei, Jou sahn, Aubowan, Chao, Hola, Fakalofa atu, Ni hao, Kamusta, Namaste and Hello
We are a Catholic school that caters for boys and girls from Year 0 – 8. As a school, we were founded in 1877 and came under the leadership of the Sisters of Our lady of the Missions in 1896. We are a school and community with a varied history of accommodating waves of migrants. Currently, we are a very multicultural school with a large range of ethnicities reflecting the changing city that we live in. Our school exists to provide a Catholic education of the highest possible standard where Christ and Gospel values are the centre of school life.
Last Day of SchoolFri Dec 10 12:04pm
Just confirming that Thursday 16th December is the last day of school. Children will need to be collected at 12.00 pm.
Our vision is that our students will be thinkers, organised, confident, literate and live the Sacred Heart Way. The Order of Our Lady of the Missions was founded by Sister Euphrasie Barbier, born in Caen, Normandy France in 1829. She wanted her sisters to be straight forward people without grand pretensions. She wanted simplicity of hospitality and welcome and a special quality in relationships. Our Motto “Virtue and Knowledge”, stresses the need for students to follow the life of the Mission Sisters who lead a life of goodness, providing education and knowledge for many generations of students at Sacred Heart School. At Sacred Heart School we continue these traditions by focusing on these values, we do this by following the Sacred Heart Way.
NEW TO SACRED HEART SCHOOL?
We encourage enrolment enquiries from parents of year 0 to 8 year-old boys and girls. You are invited to make an appointment to talk to our principal who is very happy to meet with you to show you around and explain more about our school.
